Palmer, Alaska has been purposefully chosen as our operational hub to harness the full potential of the surrounding terrain and maximize your time in the mountains. Each geographical zone surrounding the lodge presents distinct weather patterns, snowpacks and climate regions. Along the coastal ranges, where sea meets sky, you'll witness dramatic peaks soaring up to 10,000 feet, culminating in the grandeur of Mount Marcus Baker, the highest peak in the Chugach at an impressive 13,176 feet. While coastal regions may experience early weather impacts, deeper snowpacks and delayed clearing, inland terrain often offers more favorable weather trends and alternative options to ski.

The Chugach Range

The Chugach boasts impressive terrain that captivates the hearts of skiers and riders from around the world. The range spans a vast area, covering 250 miles from east to west and 60 miles from north to south.

The Talkeetna Range

The Talkeetna's are a remarkable mountain range renowned for their breathtaking scenery and diverse terrain; extending over a length of 100 miles north to south and 70 miles east to west.

The Tordrillo Range

The Tordrillo's are a stunning mountain range known for their rugged beauty and challenging terrain. The Tordrillo Range spans 60 miles north-south and 35 miles east-west in length.

The Alaska Range

The Alaska Range is a massive mountain range renowned for its iconic peaks and diverse terrain. The Alaska Range extends 400 miles in length, making it one of the longest mountain ranges in Alaska.

Seward Zone

The Seward Zone, while not as large as some of the other Alaskan ranges, offers breathtaking terrain over the ocean. The Kenai extends 90 miles in length, running along the eastern side of the Kenai Peninsula.
